Live at Fair Oaks Inova — July 18
On Friday, July 18, Music For All hosted the Live at Fair Oaks Inova event at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. Before the performance, Connor, Erin, Alex, and Madison held a virtual meeting to organize the program, and each group rehearsed together before taking the stage.

The music resonated throughout the hospital — the first live music since the pandemic — bringing joy not only to patients and their families but also to hospital staff, including security guards, nurses who paused while pushing wheelchairs, technicians who stopped mid-task, and employees who brought their lunch to enjoy while listening.
The hospital shared with us how much happiness the sound of live music brought to everyone that day.
A heartfelt thank you to Connor, Erin, Alex, and Madison for their hard work, preparation, and beautiful performance!

MFA Benefit Concert in Newspaper
We are pleased to share that our Music For All Benefit Concert was featured in yesterday’s JoongAng Ilbo newspaper.
“Hope for the World through Music” — Young Art Concert
The student-led nonprofit organization Music For All, which delivers comfort and hope to the local community through music, will hold a “Benefit Concert for Young Musicians” at 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 19, at Providence Presbyterian Church.
This concert, one of the group’s major annual events, will feature students performing classical masterpieces and ensemble works on various instruments. All proceeds from the concert will be used to provide scholarships and musical instrument support for students in financial need.
Music For All was founded by pianist Dr. Mihyang Joo and is a student-led nonprofit organization that operates with the mission of “Music for Everyone,” aiming to bridge generations and create positive change in society through music.
The organization’s main activities include performances at hospitals such as Inova Hospital, visits to Brightview Senior Living, community benefit concerts, and art fundraising projects. Through these events, students plan and perform concerts to bring comfort and encouragement to patients and seniors.
Music For All is run entirely by students. Current leaders include President Ellin Kwak, Tristan Park, and Vice Presidents Jaime Moon and Connor Kim. Many other students are actively involved in art fundraising, public relations and media, graphic design, photography and video production, newsletter management, stage coordination, and concert planning.
Dr. Joo said, “Music is a language that heals the heart and a bridge that connects generations. Through these experiences, students learn the true values of leadership and community service by sharing their talents to give back to society.”
Student leaders collaborate to organize each concert and project. Music For All welcomes all middle and high school students who love music and wish to engage in volunteer service. Participating students can also receive certified SSL volunteer hours for their contributions.
